With the Imperial Navy guarding the C.I.D. any and all aggression towards them, in close systems and planets, seemed to drop immensely. It seemed the C.I.D. had, so far, made the right choice in entering a alliance with The Empire.

Within days the Imperial Navy was patrolling the space around the C.I.D. and defense platforms were positioned throughout the system.

"Excellent," GE Kroesh said as he took the data pad, "you are now an official member of our alliance and as such, you are entitled to all benefits under the alliance. The Imperial Navy will dispatch the necessary construction crews to begin placing Garrison facilities, we will soon deploy orbital defenses and the order for fleet shipyards and other such facilities has been placed."

"Then the language of the Alliance Contract will be simple." GA Kroesh pulled a data pad out of his pocket and began typing.

The Galactic Empire will render military and economic aid to the Confederacy of Independent Droids in times of war and peace.
The Galactic Empire will maintain Garrison Sized Facilities on Allied Worlds; the purpose of which is to support Imperial interests, support local government, and to improve relations between the Galactic Empire and the Confederacy of Independent Droids. Imperial Forces will NOT have authority outside of their Garrison facilities, local authority supersedes Imperial authority.
The Galactic Empire will maintain Orbital Facilities for the purpose of: Defense, Manufacturing, Economic Trade, Research and Development, and Imperial Navy fleet docks.
The Confederacy of Independent Droids is welcome in the Galactic Empire and is exempt from economic trade tariffs.
If the Confederacy of Independent Droids is in need of military aid due to an assault by hostile forces, the Galactic Empire will respond to the threat in full force and defend the Confederacy of Independent Droids.
Should the Empire call on the Confederacy of Independent Droids for military assistance, you will oblige.
An attack on any member of this alliance will result in your immediate expulsion from this alliance, the Galactic Empire and its allies will counter-attack and seize all of your assets... thus liquidating your government.

ST-6740 looked around the table to see if everyone agreed. Almost everyone shook there head in agreement. Only two disagreed. ''It seems the majority of us agrees to your terms.'' He said, sounding pleased.

By joining in alliance with us, you also ally yourself with the Japanese/Terran Confederation, the Confederacy of the Fedonians and the Confederate States of Canada. We install garrisons on each of our allies worlds and our navy assists your forces in enforcing your borders and sovereignty. This has proved useful on countless occasions and serves to bring the Galaxy closer together. Are these terms you can agree to?"

They proced to walk through two massive doors into a huge room with a large table, suround by politicians, and at the very back of the table, the General. ''I welcome you Grand Admiral Kroesh Kardis.'' The General says. ''I am General ST-6740 the leader of the C.I.D., and even though i'm not the first to do so, I welcome you. Why don't you take a seat?'' As he speaks he points to a empty chair on the other side of the table from him.

"I did not expect an outer rim world to have such an impressive infrastructure. New Coruscant, of course, is much grander. On New Coruscant, the entire planet is one giant city. The buildings of New Coruscant are, for the most part, taller than 1 mile. It's impressive what the Empire has done in less than fifty years. Your planet reminds me of my home of Q'nos, the Klingon home world. Q'nos was once the seat of power for the Klingon Empire, it is now a mere foot note in history compared to recent events. I used to hate the Galactic Empire for conquering the Klingon Empire, but after many years I saw the light and realized how corrupt Q'nos had become. With the Empire as your ally, you cannot fail."

He seems ready to say something else, but then noticed they are almost to the capital. As the PAC landed, the group climbed out and walked into the mighty C.I.D. capital.

I've met synthetic life forms before, one specifically was Commander Data who served under the United Federation of Planets prior to its collapse. Data was an android with a positronic brain capable of millions of calculations a second. He was one of four positronic androids ever built by the only person capable of such a feat, Dr. Noonian Soong of Earth. The first one built was Lore, he had emotional capacity but was volatile and dishonorable, Lore was destroyed some time ago. The second built was of course Data who still lives on Earth. The third android was a replica of Dr. Soong's wife, she was ignorant of her true nature, believing she was human... even the people closest to her believed she was human. The fourth android was B4, he was a blank slate. He lives with Data on Earth, but the true purpose of B4 has never been known. There was another race of synthetics I met, but on the battlefield. Their name eludes us but they were created by the Iudex, a sentient Artificial Intelligence program designed by the humans of Sheridan Prime to handle their menial tasks for them. The Iudex was not happy with the way it was treated, so it rebelled against the humans." GA Kroesh pauses,

"Those in the Empire who came from the Origin Galaxy remember what was called the Clone Wars. The Galactic Republic, the predecessor to the first Galactic Empire, and the Separatist Federation waged a war against each other that cost an untold number of lives. The Republic's Grand Army used human clones to flood their ranks, while the Separatists used droids that were very similar, in design, to your... people. There are those in the Empire that would see the C.I.D. destroyed, while others believe an alliance with you would be important for us strategically. But rest assured, I am here today to secure an alliance between our peoples."

GA Kroesh paid little attention to the Droids that inhabited the C.I.D. capitol, he kept his eyes looking straight forward as he waited for the trip to end.

"Tell me something, Doctor. Do you have a soul? If I open you up, will there be a beating heart, or cold and heartless steel?" GA Kroesh asked as he leaned forward in his seat across from Doctor, if the Droid had a nose it would be able to fully understand how repulsive a Klingon's breath was.

As the group leaves the platform they get onto a custom PAC (Platoon Attack Craft). When everyone was on the PAC the pilot Droid reactivated it and flew it toward the Capital building. As they went, they passed many buildings and Droids. Many Droids stopped what they were doing and looked up as the PAC passed them, overhead.

A Droid, with four Commando Droids as guards, walked up to the Grand Admiral. ''Hello Grand Admiral Kroesh Kardis. I am Doctor second in command of the C.I.D. I will be your escort to are Capital building. I'm sorry the General could not meet you here. Hes been...busy.''

Soon after receiving the coordinates, Grand Admiral Kroesh, a Navy Ensign, and six Stormtroopers beamed down to the given coordinates. Kroesh waited on the platform to be greeted while the Stormtroopers took their escort positions.

An Imperial fleet enters orbit over the C.I.D. capitol planet of Raxus, the fleet contains 1 Super Star Destroyer (Executor II Class) and 17 Star Destroyers (Imperial IV Class). This was the standard procedure nowadays to have decent sized escort for Imperial 'diplomats'. The Super Star Destroyer sent a message to Raxus,

"I am Grand Admiral Kroesh Kardis of the Galactic Empire, formerly known as Admiral Kroesh, house of Kardis, of the Klingon Imperial Empire." The image was not that of a typical Imperial because he was not human like the rest, but was of a different species. "I have been sent on behalf of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Askaari of the Galactic Empire and Defender of Liberty. We received your request for the opening of diplomatic," he said 'diplomatic' with a snarl, "relations with the Honorable Galactic Empire. We have responded in kind, are you familiar with matter/anti-matter transport devices? We use these instead of shuttles as it is much less hazardous, we will need coordinates to beam down that are clear of electromagnetic sources of high power in the immediate vicinity."

For the past five years the C.I.D have remained Neutral, thinking they be better off staying by them selves and not being allies with anyone. But after a recent change of politicians, and with the vote of the C.I.D's citizens, the Droids have decided to try to become allies with The Galactic Empire. They send a message to the Galactic Empire asking for a meeting so they may become allies. Also in the message the Droids request the meeting be held in there capital, on the planet Raxus.
