This just in! The communist radicals have surrendered to the Fedonians! This conflict had been brought to a close much sooner than we had anticipated. We suffered zero Imperial casualties and our allies took little damage to their armies. LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!!

We bring you an update on the Terran situation.

Okazaki's fall is imminent as Confederate and Fedonian forces move in to secure the remaining areas. A saturation bombardment from both Imperial and Confederate forces has left Okazaki a burning hollowed out ruin of what it once was. We have no further information to provide at this time but victory is expected soon.

CIVIL WAR ON EARTH?

Many Are Skeptical as War Ensues

After a recent landslide victory by a communist fringe group in Okazaki, Japan on Earth a civil war has erupted. The communist leaders in Okazaki seceded from the Japanese Confederation and declared themselves to be 'Soviet Okazaki' and have used military force to capture several regions surrounding their territory. Confederate Japanese, Fedonian and Imperial Forces are working together to bring this conflict to a close with as little blood shed as possible. Grand Admiral Del Holst has been given command of all Imperial Forces on Earth and he released this statement earlier today:

"The Galactic Empire will not tolerate civil war and certainly not communism. We will bring this conflict to a swift end with as little force as possible. It is our goal to not lose our men to a foreign conflict, our soldiers and pilots are the best in the galaxy and we will prevail." Grand Admiral Holst told us via hologram from the bridge of his Tactical Star Destroyer, the Impregnable.

In the interim, all travel to and from Earth is being restricted by the Imperial Navy, in an effort to prevent hostile powers from supporting the communist revolt. All sentients are being advised to stay away from Earth, unless they want to be hauled into a Star Destroyers hangar and then thoroughly searched.

No real time frame has been given as to when this conflict might end, but I.C.E.N. will be giving you coverage all along the way!
